How to use the Alt+A keyboard shortcut
To use the keyboard shortcut, press and hold either Alt key, and while continuing to hold, press A.
Alt+A in Microsoft Excel
In Microsoft Excel programs, pressing Alt+A opens the Data tab in the Ribbon. Once in the Data tab, after pressing the shortcut, you can also press an additional key to select a Data tab option. For example, after pressing Alt+A, you could press R to open the Refresh option.
Alt+A in Microsoft PowerPoint
In Microsoft PowerPoint, Alt+A keyboard shortcut opens the Animations tab in the Ribbon. After pressing the shortcut, you can also press an additional key to select an option in the Animations tab. For example, after pressing Alt+A, you could press P to open the preview section.
Using Alt+A in Internet Explorer
In Internet Explorer, pressing Alt+A opens the Favorites file menu.
