Alt+Home is a keyboard shortcut most commonly used to open the homepage in the active tab. Below are other programs that use this keyboard shortcut and related information.
How to use the Alt+Home keyboard shortcut
To use this keyboard shortcut, press and hold either Alt key, and while continuing to hold, press Home key.
Alt+Home in Internet browsers
In all major Internet browsers (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera), pressing Alt+Home opens the browser homepage in the active tab.
Alt+Home in Microsoft Word
In Microsoft Word, pressing Alt+Home moves to the first cell in the current row of a table.
Note
If you're outside of a table, Alt+Home does nothing.
