Amazon Flex

Introduced in 2015, Amazon Flex is a platform that allows items purchased from Amazon.com and Amazon services to be delivered faster by crowdsourcing the job to nearby drivers. Users of Amazon Flex (once registered and background checked) can open the application to choose shifts and deliver packages for a predetermined time. Flex drivers are paid an hourly wage by Amazon, similar to ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft, for delivering items from the nearest Amazon warehouse directly to the consumer's address.
