Auto-scroll
Auto-scroll is a feature in some programs that allows users to press a keyboard shortcut and automatically scroll a document without using the keyboard or mouse. For example, in Adobe Acrobat, a user can press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+H to start auto-scrolling a PDF (Portable Document Format). In this example, pressing the up or down arrow keys increases and decreases the auto-scroll speed. To stop the auto-scroll before it hits the end of the document, press Esc or Ctrl+Shift+H again.
See our scroll page for further help and information on scrolling on a computer.
AutoScroll is also the name of Chrome extension that adds customizable auto-scrolling to the Chrome browser. This extension is extremely helpful for Linux and Mac users that don't have this option.
