AutoPlay
AutoPlay may refer to any of the following:
1. Alternatively called AutoRun, AutoPlay is a feature introduced in Microsoft Windows 95 that allows CDs to run automatically. AutoPlay facilitates easier setup since the installation of a program starts right after the disc is inserted into the computer.
The picture shows the AutoPlay feature asking what to do with a blank disc.
2. Autoplay is a feature available on some online video websites, like YouTube. Using autoplay, videos automatically play one after another or back-to-back. Autoplay makes it easier to watch multiple related videos, eliminating the need to select each or click the play option for them.
By default, autoplay is often enabled, but most online video websites allow users to disable it, if desired.
3. Autoruns is a Windows Sysinternals utility to see what programs are configured to startup automatically when your operating system starts.
