Cabletron Systems
Founded in 1983, Cabletron Systems was a manufacturer of computer networking equipment. In 2000, Cabletron Systems reorganized as a holding company who controls four networking firms. These firms included Enterasys Networks, Riverstone Networks, Aprisma Management Technologies, and GNTS (Global Network Technology Services). Today, Cabletron Systems has gone out of business. All of the businesses previously associated with it were acquired by other companies.

August 6, 2001 - Cabletron Systems completed its transformation into two independent companies, Enterasys and Riverstone. As a result of these events, Cabletron Systems ceased to exist as a separate company.
