Capacity

Capacity may refer to any of the following:

1. With a disc, disk, or drive, capacity or storage capacity is the maximum amount of data a device such as a hard drive can hold. See our disk capacity page for a full explanation and examples.

2. When describing anything that holds a charge (e.g., battery), battery capacity or capacity is the maximum amount of power the device can hold.

3. The capacity is the maximum range of values that can be held in a register.
