Which version of Windows 95 supports AGP?
The original releases of Windows 95: build 950 and build 950A (Windows 95 with Service Pack 1) do not support AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) functionality. However, an AGP display adapter will function in these versions of Windows 95 in the same manner as a PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) based display adapter.
Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2 (OSR2 version 1111 or 950B) can be updated to support AGP display adapter by applying the USB (Universal Serial Bus) supplement to OSR2; the USB supplement (USBSUPP.EXE). When applying this patch or purchasing Windows 95 with this patch, your version of Windows 95 is Windows 95 version 4.00.900 C.
If your OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) has upgraded Windows 95 B at the factory, USBSUPP.EXE should be located in the \OTHER\USB directory of the Windows 95 CD (Compact Disc).
