Why does Windows 95 not support hard drives over 32 GB?

Windows 95 can only use and support hard drives that are up to 32 GB in size. It is a limitation in the design of the Windows 95 architecture. To use a bigger hard drive, we suggest upgrading to a later version of Windows.

If your computer does not support a more recent version of Windows, we suggest upgrading the computer or purchasing a new computer. If a new computer is out of your budget, consider using an alternative operating system, such as Linux.
