Performing a Windows 2000 slipstreaming install

To perform a slipstreaming install, follow the steps below:

  1. Copy the complete Windows 2000 CD (Compact Disc) to the hard drive or a distribution location on the network.
  2. On the service pack update.exe, run the following command:
update.exe -s x:\distribute\Win2kPro
  1. Once completed, run the install for Windows 2000 and this will install Windows 2000 with the service pack already installed.
