Do I need mouse drivers?

Drivers
Today's operating systems no longer require drivers for standard mouse interoperability. If your computer has a standard one or two button mouse and uses a current version of the operating system, you don't need any special drivers to use your mouse.

Software
Some pointing devices have special hardware features (extra buttons or a trackball, for instance). To make use of these features, download the drivers for your device, and any required software, from the website of the device manufacturer.
