Downgraded my laptop from Vista or 7 to XP where are drivers?
If you have downgraded your laptop from Windows Vista or Windows 7 to XP, you may notice how difficult it can be to find hardware drivers. When a laptop or any computer manufacturer releases their product with Vista or 7, that product may not support previous operating system versions, such as Windows XP. To get the drivers for these products, your best bet is to see if the hardware manufacturer for the device has Windows XP drivers.
For a list of hardware manufacturers and links to their driver pages, see on our computer drivers index. If the manufacturer does not support Windows XP, you'll have to find a replacement for the hardware device whose manufacturer does, or go back to Windows Vista or 7. For example, let's say you are trying to get a wireless network card working with a laptop in Windows XP. If neither of the device's manufacturers have Windows XP support, you can get a PC Card wireless card that supports Windows XP.
