Can I fix blurry camera pictures?
To fix a blurry picture taken with a camera, you need special software designed to manipulate photos. Making the picture crisp in regards to focus is pretty much impossible, but you can lessen the blur.
One solution is a program called Unshake, available for free on the Internet. The program is written in Java, which allows it to work for Mac and Windows computers. It also provides varying degrees of "DeBlur," which you can adjust to achieve the best results. The results vary depending on how blurry the picture is. In the picture below, we have a blurry shot of the Intel 486 processor and the same picture with the blur removed using Unshake.
Due to how the Unshake program is programmed and designed, it can be slow to process larger images. For example, a ten-megapixel picture takes several minutes to process. Experiment with program settings on a smaller picture first, to see how it works and what settings work best for your purposes.
Please note that the higher the amplification done on the picture, the higher the chance of noise artifacts and etching in the results. Again, this is something that requires experimentation to get an idea of the results based on the program's settings. Also, realize that this is not like the movies where you can enhance an image to perfection.
Adobe Photoshop is an excellent program for photo manipulation and can do many things other photo editing programs cannot. However, it does require a pricey subscription fee.
