How to determine version of DirectX

If you are running Microsoft Windows Me, 2000, or XP you can be sure that you are running at least DirectX 5.0. To determine versions past 5.0 click Start, Run, type DxDiag, and press Enter to get full information about your system, DirectX, and other related helpful information.
