Losing TV card functionality after installing DirectX
Updated: 01/24/2018 by Computer Hope
When installing DirectX, newer video and sound card drivers are added. Video drivers have the TV card drivers integrated within them, so they get overwritten, causing the card not to work or not work properly.
To resolve this issue, first attempt to reinstall your video drivers and TV card drivers. If this does not resolve the issue or you then lose the capability of using DirectX, we recommend you contact the manufacturer of your TV card or Computer. They should be able to tell you if they have DirectX compatible drivers that would work with both your TV card and third-party software.
