Accessing the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) or CMOS (complementary metal-oxide semiconductor) setup for a computer requires a keyboard. If you don't have a functional keyboard connected to a computer, you cannot access the BIOS or CMOS setup. We suggest either borrowing someone else's keyboard or buying a replacement.

Tip

If you have a keyboard where not all keys are working, see: Some keys on my computer keyboard aren't working.

Once you have a working keyboard, you can then access the computer's BIOS or CMOS setup.
