How to create a YouTube account

YouTube has an endless supply of videos to watch, and you don't need an account to view videos. However, there are benefits to having one, such as being able to subscribe to a channel or leave comments. To learn how to create an account, follow the steps below.
Creating a YouTube account
- Go to the YouTube website and click
in the upper-right corner.
Note
If you don't have a Google account (e.g., you haven't signed up for Gmail), click the Create account link near the bottom of the Sign in prompt and follow the steps. For more information on how to sign up for a Gmail/Google account, see: How to create an e-mail account page.
- Enter your Gmail address and click Next button.
- Enter your Google account password and click the Next button.
- Once you've signed in, you can view and adjust your profile by clicking the picture icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
