Do laptop computers have a mouse?

To keep the them as compact as possible, almost all laptop computers and notebooks use a touchpad to control the mouse pointer. Another less popular form of input for laptop computers is the Trackpoint, which is used with IBM and Lenovo laptops. Older computers, like the Zenith laptop, used a J-Mouse.

Laptop and notebook computers do not come with the traditional mouse associated with desktop computers. However, all modern laptops have USB (Universal Serial Bus) ports that allow for any USB mouse (wired or wireless) to connect to them.

Today, Microsoft Windows 10 laptop PCs and some Chromebooks have touch screens that, similar to a smartphone, allow your finger to be used as a pointing device.

No Apple desktop or laptop computer have or use a touch screen.
