How to log out of X

To learn how to log out of your X (formerly Twitter) account, choose the program where you access it, and follow the steps in that section.

Logging out of X using the website

1. Open the X website.
2. In the left navigation menu, click your X account name.
3. In the pop-up menu, click the Log out @handle option, where handle is your X handle.
4. Click Log out in the middle of the screen.

Log out of X using the mobile app

1. Open the X mobile app.
2. Tap the hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
3. In the menu, tap Settings and privacy.
4. Below your X handle, tap Account.
5. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Log out, which is the last option on the screen.
