How to log out of a Facebook account

The process to log out of Facebook differs depending on whether you are accessing Facebook on your computer or on your smartphone. Follow the steps below to log out of Facebook from the mobile app or the desktop website.

Mobile app

To log out of your Facebook account from the mobile app on an Android smartphone or iPhone:

  1. In the Facebook app, tap the three-line menu icon found at the top-right or bottom-right corner of the screen.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the menu.
  3. Tap the Log Out option.

Desktop website

To log out of your Facebook account from the desktop website:

  1. While logged in to Facebook, select the menu button Menu button on Facebook. on the top far right section of the window.
  2. Select the Log Out option at the bottom of the menu.
