Column break

Updated: 05/01/2023 by Computer Hope

A column break is a code inserted by a program (e.g., word processor) to indicate to break the text at the current cursor position into the next available column.

Note

If your document doesn't have two or more columns, the column break is treated as a page break.

Tip

The keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Enter can insert a column break.
