Contextual advertising
Updated: 12/31/2022 by Computer Hope
Advertising on the Internet that is determined by the content on the current web page or search history is called contextual advertising. The advertising company achieves this using a spider or another script to scan the web page for keywords and display ads relating to those keywords. Contextual advertising is more effective than generic advertising because it attempts to cater to the visitor's interests, instead of displaying a random ad.
