CPU Vcore
CPU Vcore, also known as CPU core voltage, is the amount of power supplied to a CPU (central processing unit) or GPU (graphics processing unit) from the motherboard, measured in volts. This metric is important as it affects a processor's stability, performance, and longevity.
For instance, if the power supplied to the processor is too low, it can lead to instability and errors. On the other end of the spectrum, if too much power is supplied, it can lead to excess power consumption and thermal issues.
Vcore voltage is normally adjusted automatically, but users can change its values through their computer's BIOS (basic input/output system). Many gaming enthusiasts like to overclock (which increases voltage) their processors to achieve better performance. It should be noted that doing so leads to more heat production, potentially damaging a CPU over time. As such, if you're going to overclock your processor, it's important to balance performance gains with reasonable temperatures.
