Dash Button
Introduced on March 31, 2015, a Dash Button was a product offered by Amazon that acts as a shortcut to buy commonly purchased items from the website. Dash Buttons were initially sold as small, physical buttons with product logos on them, which could be pressed to automatically order the corresponding item via the user's Amazon account. However, physical Dash Buttons were discontinued in February 2019 and are no longer available.
After their cancellation, physical Dash Buttons were replaced by free, virtual Dash Buttons that serve the same purpose, but are accessed via your Amazon account on compatible devices. Virtual Dash Buttons are accessible on the Amazon website, the Samsung Family Hub smart refrigerator, Fire OS devices like the Echo, and the Amazon mobile app for iOS and Android. These virtual buttons can be customized, added, and removed for quick access to these products, similar to an Internet bookmark or Windows shortcut.
