DDK
Updated: 12/31/2022 by Computer Hope
Short for driver development kit, a DDK is a set of programs and files that can create or update both software or hardware drivers. They usually include sample drivers, a debugging utility, source code, testing tools, and a compiler.
Driver development kits are mostly utilized by software developers and device manufacturers. While most DDKs may be downloaded directly from manufacturers, some must be purchased from a third-party.
