Disk density

Updated: 08/02/2019 by Computer Hope
areal density

Alternatively called areal density, disk density is the measurement of the amount of data a disk can hold. The disk density is measured by the TPI (tracks per inch) or bits per inch. A good example of disk density is high-density floppy diskettes that hold more information than a low density diskette.
