Display cycle

A display cycle is the renewing of a display that allow it to display a picture. For example, a CRT (cathode ray tube) monitor refreshes the display each time the screen information changes. It redraws the image multiple times a second to represent movement, such as the mouse cursor changing position. It also refreshes to display up-to-date information, such as text that was typed on the keyboard.
