Updated: 04/26/2017 by Computer Hope

A double-sided disk or DS disk is a portable storage device capable of having data written to or read from either side of the medium. In the case of a floppy diskette, being double-sided allows it to store up to 1.44 Mb of information. See our high-density diskette for further information on this type of disk.
