DualShock

Released by Sony in November 1997, DualShock is a line of controllers developed for the PlayStation video game console. In addition to its two rotating joysticks, there are 16 buttons that can be used for navigating the console's menus and to play games. Current DualShock controllers also have LED (light-emitting diode) battery indicators, Bluetooth capability, vibration-based haptic feedback, and a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack for use with a wired headset.

A DualShock controller is included with the purchase of a PlayStation and updated with each new generation of the console. Additional controllers can be purchased separately, allowing a maximum of 4 players at a time.
