Short for Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI is a United States federal law enforcement agency formed on July 26, 1908. The FBI is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and is primarily a domestic agency with hundreds of agencies throughout the United States. The FBI helps protect Americans from terrorism, counterintelligence, cyber crime, public corruption, civil rights, and other crimes.
What is the IC3?
The IC3 (Internet Crime Complaint Center) is the United States hub for reporting cyber crime and is run by the FBI. On this site, anyone can file a complaint if they or someone they know was a victim of a computer crime.
