Flickr is the largest online community for viewing and sharing digital pictures. The service allows users to post and share their digital photographs, and find and sort through millions of images.
Flickr history
Flickr was created in 2004 by Stewart Butterfield and Caterina Fake of Ludicorp.
On March 21, 2005, Yahoo! purchased Flickr and added the service to their existing products. Yahoo! was later acquired by Verizon.
In 2018, Flickr was purchased from Verizon by SnugMug.
