Foistware

Foistware is any additional software that is installed that doesn't relate to the program the user is installing. This tactic is sometimes used by freeware as a method of supporting the developer. For example, when installing a program it may have a check box that asks to install a search toolbar into your browser. If this was left checked, the toolbar is also installed when installing the free program.
