FRAM

FRAM may refer to any of the following:

1. Short for Ferroelectric RAM, FRAM is random-access storage using a special magnetic film. Like other computer memory (e.g., DRAM (dynamic random-access memory)), FRAM can read and write data at faster speeds, but what makes it unique is its ability to retain that data when power is turned off, like ROM (read-only memory).

2. A slang term that combines "friend" and "spam," FRAM describes unwanted e-mails sent to a user by their friends, family, or acquaintances.
