Glow

Updated: 07/13/2023 by Computer Hope

With software, glow is a visual effect that can be applied to an object, such as text. For example, in Adobe Photoshop, the Glowing Edges effect adds a glowing line to the edges found in a picture. Below is an example of this effect on a picture of boats.

With text, a glow effect can give the text the appearance of it glowing. For example, in Microsoft Word, Text Effects has a glow setting.
