Hack

A hack may refer to any of the following:

1. Hack is a hardware or software change not approved by the manufacturer or developer that makes it do something it wasn't intended to do. For example, with software updates and modifications, users can make their Xbox gaming console more of a media center. Because the developer does not support these modifications, hacks void your warranty and prevent you from getting manufacturer support.

2. To hack is to write computer code in a programming language. Someone who hacks is called a hacker.
