Host

A host may refer to any of the following:
1. Alternatively called an Internet node, a host is a computer or another device connected to a computer network. A network host may handle user requests, including offering services, software applications, and information resources to users or other nodes in the network. It may be responsible for sending information to players in an online computer game, or it can serve web pages on the Internet. For example, ComputerHope.com is a host.

A host is commonly known as a server.
