Founded in 1997 by Cher Wang and Peter Chou. HTC (High-Tech Computer) corporation is a manufacturer of tablets and smartphones headquartered in New Taipei City, Taiwan. It achieved great early success, and was the creator of the first Android smartphone.
In 2016, HTC diversified from smartphones, partnering with Valve Corporation to create the HTC Vive, a Virtual Reality headset.
