IGES

Short for Initial Graphics Exchange Specification, IGES is a graphics file standard developed by ANSI (American National Standards Institute) for the Air Force Integrated Computer Automated Manufacturing program. IGES is a group of protocols for the transfer of graphical information on remote devices via telephone or other forms of communication.
