An ImageWriter is an Apple Macintosh family of dot matrix printers introduced in December 1983. During its life, there were three different versions (ImageWriter, ImageWriter II, and ImageWriter LQ (letter-quality)) the popular ImageWriter II shown in the image.
The printers connected to computers using a serial port and were primarily used on the Apple II and Macintosh computers with some limited support for Microsoft Windows computers.
