Infamous iTunes was missing from the list.

I just added Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 10 to the list. It offers OpenOffice installer, and that option is pre-checked.

Oh, it install also Java Quick Starter

To disable JQS, open up the Java Console (inside the Control Panel), go to the Advanced Tab and then uncheck JQS (in the Miscellaneous section.)

Another one.
This morning, I received pop-up about Adobe Shockwave Player update, and some Norton PC Checkup comes along, pre-checked.
I still have to investigate, where did that pop-up came from.

As for IE, does it happen when you download it from Google site only, or...?

I have Auslogics ver. 1.4 and did not get an Ask toolbar...
Perhaps this is new ? ?

I'm not sure on the IE and Google thing. Someone mentioned that on another site so I just passed it along.

I found this Google page that might be the answer as to why Google would endorse IE 7. It pays to upgrade your browser
