I am trying to add more than one photo in a Paint canvas sheet and have been reading different versions on how to do this, WHICH is leading to my confusion. Some mention how to do this back to 2018's version, others to which system Paint is on...win 7,win 10 and etc. Most are pretty close with just a slight difference that is enough to screw up....ie....." Open Paint, copy photo, paste to canvas, make sure canvas is stretched out to accomodate another photo which is saved on the second Paint convas, then drag second photo into first saved Paint canvas...." I don't get the option to drag te second photo and I have watched youtube demo numerous times and still cannot get it to drag.  eveb tried Paint 3D to no improvement....does anyone here know how to do this function and tell me step by step and with either win 7 or win 10?

Why not try doing that with GIMP. It's free and very good.

I tried windows Photo viewer, but the instructions i came across are outdated .

The official GIMP software is not ad supported and it doesn't have optional installers. Where are you downloading it from? Get it from the official source. https://www.gimp.org/downloads

If you still want to try something else that is robust but is easier to learn try https://www.getpaint.net

If you read the thread you can see 'others' have given me links to that site I mentioned about Gimp. This time i will try yours and hope i do not have to sign my life away for a free pgm....thanks/

The link you gave me about the robust version gives a warning about downloading there. How say you? is it safe?

Are you talking about the paint.net link? The link itself can not give you a warning so I have no idea what you are actually referring to that gave you a warning.

I use paint.net regularly so also install new versions regularly from here. https://www.dotpdn.com/downloads/pdn.html

Also I tested the GIMP download and did a full install before replying to you. They are both safe and you can test them at https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload
