What are Flash Cookies or Local Shared Objects (LSO)?

QuoteLocal Shared Objects (LSO), commonly called flash cookies, are collections of cookie-like data stored as a file on a user's computer. LSOs are used by all versions of Adobe Flash Player and Version 6 and above of Macromedia's now obsolete Flash MX Player.

I've always recommend just using Adobe's Settings Manager, which you listed in the last link for dealing with cookies and viewing privacy settings in Adobe Flash. But Still a very well written post. We may want to put it into a FAQ since many may miss it in the News section.

New tool added that is very good not only with flash cookies but also the new 'Evercookie'.

BleachBit

I've been using BleachBit on my Ubuntu computer for about a year now. It is a great tool. It's also very powerful and new users should be aware that it can be dangerous if used improperly (make sure that you know what you are selecting for deletion). I wouldn't recommend this tool to novice users unless, of course, if the windows version is very different than the Linux version. Is it?

No. It isn't! Which is why I never listed it to begin with. But I'm seeing more and more people refer it so I figured it was time to add it to the list.
