Every time my system is left off for a day or more, when it is reconnected, the Latency is usually double normal or more, and the supposedly 35Mb/s Download rate is in the 1.3-1.5 Mb/s region.

Everything from Internet inc SKY Go crawls, near unusable.

This slowly over hours when left on gets better, until after 8-10 hours on (on average) its got to the 23-30Mb/s region. At least two hours left on to get to 10Mb/s no matter what is attempted (router reset, etc)

Its a laptop which works perfectly well at another location on Virginmedia, giving 100Mb/s ALL the time, Ethernet or Wireless.

It's normally while on SKY Ethernet connected with a 1 metre cable to the adjacent router. That cable works OK elsewhere.

The router has been replaced, no effect

The wiring to the router has been checked and the termination box at the house boundary has been replaced and reterminated, no effect

Wireless gives the same poor result during this "warm up" period.

This has been so for a year plus.

SKY have both visited and run remote checks, say there is no fault.

Please help, I'm crackiing up here!

Any other systems to connect to the internet at this location to see if its system specific only to that one system or does it happen to other systems as well? ( This way you can determine if its system related or network related. )
