Network Login Info Stored in MSFT Account?!?

My Win 10 laptop died suddenly a few weeks ago. When I got my Win 11 replacement, I signed into my MSFT account - which I thought was just things like One Drive and Office applications.

But I did NOT need to provide passwords when I rejoined any of my old private networks (home, work, etc.).

Seemed weird to me.
Dan: You're gonna need to get someone to fix my computer.                     Kim: What's wrong with it?                     Dan: It's in several pieces on my floor.
