Computer Hope

So im got a freebie the other day and im going to stick XP it, mainly for retro gaming.

What i want to know, is the best way to isolate the machine from the other computers on the network.

Im not at all fussed about the xp machine becoming infected, and might actually intentionally infect it for a bit of fun a virus related nostalgia, but obviously need it to be isolated from the other machines.

Has anyone done this and got any tips?

Im guessing its just a case of setting up a firewall on the xp machine to prevent any outgoing connections to the other machines?

Just don't attach it to the network, if you need to use it on the internet then put it on wireless. Then setup a guest network on your modem/router and only attach the XP to the guest network. The Guest network on a modem/router only has access to the internet not the other computers on the network.
