My hold hdd had been crashing/freezing on occasion so I decided it was time to upgrade. I bought a new ssd, installed it into my case and downloaded Samsung'S data migration software. I had left my case partially open in case something didn't work, but with everything going fine I closed up the case and moved it back into position. Big mistake. I knocked the power cable, computer lost power and now it won't boot. I think the process of copying windows files must have corrupted them on my hdd.
Currently my situation is as follows. When I turn on the computer I get the motherboard manufacturer logo, then several screens of 'loading windows files' then a pause before a request to insert proper boot media. I have opened the boot menu on start up but no option boots properly. I have tried to get last Known Good Configuration via F8 but can't open it. F12 works but does nothing. I have access to a laptop with windows 10, is there a way I could use that as boot media to recover data and repair? I don't have my original Windows 7 disk.
Apologies for any typos, typing on my phone for obvious reasons.

I would just re-run the Samsung migration tool...
