The FAQ Solution Database is a section devoted to addressing some of the common problems and questions that come in to Computer Hope on a frequent basis. This area is designed to make it easier for Forum Members to provide answers to some of the problems that many of us seem to repeatedly come across.

Instead of reinventing solutions to commonly asked questions, the FAQ Solution Database provides members with a reference to tried and tested methods for dealing with a variety of issues. As of this writing, the Database is in its infancy. As time goes by, we hope the section will grow to become a valuable tool in providing the best and most convenient way of answering your questions.

Feel free to read through the information we have to date in this section, but please post no questions here. If you have an issue that is not addressed in this database, please post your inquiry in the appropriate section in the Computer Hope Forum.
There's no limit to what you can achieve if you don't mind who gets the credit.

It seems to be at an all time high, so I figured to make this public service announcement. PLEASE... If you come to this forum looking for help, do not expect us to give you the answers to your homework questions, or to help you do ANYTHING illegal. Most users on this forum (everyone from what I know) will NOT help you with any such action. If you need help with a computer that has a problem, fine, but please don't ask us about anything that you really shouldn't be doing. We love helping those who need computer assistance, but it really does put a damper on things when lazy students or troublesome users some looking for the wrong kind of assistance. Thanks.

Please be advised ,  that the solutions  listed in the Q and A section have been provided and compiled by Computer Hope members.  Some of the items listed are for general use, however some may refer to a specific issue encountered on a specific machine and perhaps may not resolve your specific issue.

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

You cannot hold us responsible for anything that may result from you taking this information. We strive to give you the most accurate and safe solutions possible, however, "crap happens". If you have any questions, you need to ask and not just try to figure it out yourself. Just wanted to remind everyone about that  ;)
