Updated: 05/06/2024 by Computer Hope
Computer keyboard caps lock LED

An indicator is a light or LED (Light-Emitting Diode) that prompts the user to the status of a hardware device. Examples of indicators include the indicators for when the hard drive is working (reading/writing) and when the caps lock is enabled. The picture shows the three indicator LEDs on the keyboard. These lights show whether or not the num lock, caps lock, or scroll lock are enable or disabled.
