Interleave may refer to any of the following:
1. With a computer hard drive, interleave or interleaving is a method of making data accessed more efficiently by organizing the sectors on the hard drive.
Interleaving techniques
One-to-one - Sectors are placed on a track.
Two-to-one - Sectors are spread out by other sectors.
2. With computer memory, interleaved memory is system memory divided into two or more sections. Interleave allows memory to be accessed faster because each memory section can be utilized at once.
