Iomega

Founded in 1980, Iomega was one of the largest manufactures of backup media storage solutions and has manufactured such products as the Iomega Zip, Jaz, and Ditto drives.
On April 8, 2008, EMC announced it would acquire Iomega for approximately $213 million.

April 14, 2001 - Iomega settled a class action lawsuit about defective Zip drives. It states that some or all Zip drives sold to U.S. customers between January 1, 1995, and March 19, 2001, were defective.
1995 - Iomega introduced the Jaz drive.
1994 - Iomega released its Zip disk drive and diskettes.
